What do you love about elopements and micro weddings?
I love the intimacy of the elopements. Whether it’s the couple only or a few guests in attendance…to be trusted with the couple’s special day and to be apart of the most tender and touching moments that the couple and guests share with another, makes my heart melt. It all really sets the tone that the couple did it their way and that the most important thing to them was the marriage and unity of becoming one.
Do you have a fun story or memory to share from a memorable elopement? ( keep it positive lol, we want them to still want to elope…haha!)
Yes. Even though it was a couple only elopement, the day was filled with so much personalization and love. The couple treated it like a ‘traditional’ wedding and got ready in separate hotel rooms so they never saw each other until they walked down the aisle. There were tears as the bride walked down the aisle. They picked beautiful music for their ceremony, cake/champagne toast and first dance that I still listen to to this day; makes me think of them and their day all the time. They incorporated their dogs, by having a figurine of them on the cake table so that they could be present. From the bride’s leather jacket, to their first dance being similar to how they dance around the house with one another to the way they looked at each another. It’s moments like this that makes me truly thankful to have been chosen to witness these moments and the love the couples share with one another. You do you and be you…your day will be special and memorable no matter the guest count or location.
