What I love most about elopements and microweddings are that they are intimately personal. It’s an unforgettable experience for the couple and what they feel is important to them. There’s a lot less stress involved and the day is really about two people in love who simply want to commit to each other.
I love that there are no rules. It’s whatever the couple wants and only what they want, no fluff or traditions to abide by. And of course I love that I can focus on the couple and create some amazing photos for them.
Funny story:
Recently at a microwedding, during the couples first dance. To avoid interrupting the couple, there was an older gentleman who went out of his way to not disturb the wedding. He had to hike in between some dangerous joshua trees and cactus bushes so he wouldn’t be in the photos. It was not an easy thing to do and caught everyone’s attention. We all thought it was so sweet and gave everyone a laugh. The couple ended up getting a photo with the gentlemen and thanked him for his graciousness.
