WHAT WORDS WOULD YOU USE TO DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING?

I absolutely loved my wedding it was just my husband, my childhood best friend and her fiancé. It was extremely intimate and stress free. The photos came out beautifully and I didn’t feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want. I have a huge Cambodian family and if I didn’t elope my wedding would have been overwhelming. Elopement Las Vegas planned everything and it went so smoothly. I’ve been a bridesmaid many times and all the brides are always stressed and doesn’t even look like they enjoyed themselves. I had a fabulous time with my husband and the people I love.  

THE PROPOSAL:

I went overseas to Southeast Asia for three months, Rolo proposed to me before I left because he thought I wasn’t ever coming back. And it’s true I would have never came back if I didn’t have him to come back home to. 

THE VISION:

I’ve never been to Las Vegas or the west coast even, so everything was new to me. I’m from DC where everything is political here, fast paced, and the people aren’t as friendly. I’m really easy going and just go with the flow, I’m not huge on weddings so I’m really thankful elopement Las Vegas planned everything for me. All I did was show up which was great. 

THE PLANNING PROCESS:

I contacted Epic Elopement after my trip from Asia so it gave them six months to plan everything. I just answered some personal questions, sent some Pinterest photos as inspiration and everything came out gorgeously. 

YOUR OUTFITS AND ACCESSORIES

I bought my wedding dress two days before my wedding, all the dresses I wanted were so expensive and I didn’t think it was worth it if I was going to wear it for two hours max. It was the most simple dress but I thought it fit the perfect intimate occasion. My veil was personalized and it said “hasta que la muerte nos separe” until death do us apart in Spanish. My husband was born in El Salvador and he mainly speaks Spanish so I wanted it to say something special in his dominate language. I also had a personalized cake topper of my pitbull. He wasn’t able to make it and he’s so important to me so I wanted to incorporate him in some special way. I asked Emily to mess up the cake a little so it looks like he bit into it. It was so cute and my favorite decoration from my wedding.  

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

 I remember the whole wedding so vividly, it was timed very well. I didn’t feel rushed or nervous, everything came together naturally. 

 ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES

 People are going to guilt you into not having a elopement and even say it’s selfish to not celebrate with your family. I completely disagree, do everything for yourself. You don’t need a huge wedding to be happy, it should be about you and your husband. Where I come from people have weddings to show off and it becomes a competition to see who is the wealthiest family. I’m glad I was able to break tradition and be the first person in my family to do something for myself and to go against my society’s standards. I had an amazing time and my husband had all good things to say about Epic Elopement. They went beyond our expectations and I’m so thankful I was able to book with them.
