Featured Elopement: Phillip & Linda

Eloping in Red Rock Canyon

What’s not to love about an elopement at Red Rock Canyon? The overlook offers up a stunning backdrop for your elopement ceremony, especially during golden hour. Phillip and Linda’s recent elopement at Red Rock Canyon was simply breathtaking! We loved all of the details that went into their elopement from the decor to their wedding attire and accessories.

Can we take a second to talk about the floral that Linda chose for their elopement?! Pampas grass has become one of the quickest growing, and greatest floral trends in the wedding industry. When it comes to bohemian-inspired weddings and elopements, pampas grass is the go-to choice for floral installations, arbor decor and more. Not to mention that it makes for an incredible textural accent in bouquets and arrangements along with other wedding floral favorites.

One of our favorite details of the elopement was Linda’s dress! She designed her own wedding dress to be exactly what she wanted for her epic elopement at Red Rock Canyon. Her layered lace dress was even more beautiful in person and gave us all the boho vibes. As a finishing touch, she also added a few floral pieces that matched her bouquet into her hair piece. We were obsessed!

When it comes to eloping at Red Rock Canyon, there are a couple of things to know and consider beforehand so that everything goes smoothly. Here’s a few pointers before your elopement at this desert destination to keep in mind.

Here are some pictures from their elopement:

Things to know about your elopement at Red Rock Canyon:

What should we bring with us?

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! You can always bring heels along with you to change into right before your ceremony. Trust us, you won’t want to wear heels to get to your location. You’ll also need your marriage license, and we recommend bringing some water and any last minute details you have for the photographer.

Will our wedding coordinator be on site?

Your wedding coordinator(s) will be on site with you during the ceremony and mini reception portion of your elopement. Once you guys are done with this portion of the day our coordinators will begin breaking down all of our set up in order to make sure we are out by the time our scheduled time is over. Your coordinator will leave after they break down so you can enjoy time exploring the area with your photographer!

Will we know where to go in Red Rock Canyon?

When you secure your transportation to the Red Rock Overlook there are a few things to keep in mind. We will have you text us when you are coming up Charleston Boulevard before you lose reception so we know to be ready to meet you! There is horrible cell reception for most companies up in the canyon, so don’t be surprised if you don’t have cell service. Tell the driver that they need to put the location in their GPS before getting up there so that they have the directions ahead of time.

What happens if we are running late?

It is imperative that you and your guests arrive on time according to the timeline above. We cannot guarantee services if the couple is late. Our timelines run according to the permits we are issued by the parks and we are only allotted a certain amount of time to be there.  Service providers are contracted according to this timeline and schedule and we cannot guarantee services if the couple is late.

What happens after our Red Rock Canyon elopement?

Once your elopement ceremony and mini reception is complete, your minister will take care of the legal portion of your marriage license, and your images will go into our queue for editing. You will receive your edited images via online gallery within 3-4 weeks of your elopement date. From there, you can order prints from the gallery or you can download, print, or share the link as you wish!
