FAQ

What makes you different from all of the other companies offering elopement packages?
I started this company after getting married out of the country and having an intimate wedding myself. I was horrified by the quality of photos I received from my “package” wedding photographer and my wedding bouquet showed up purple on the wedding day (purple was not one of my wedding colors.) I never wanted any other couple to have the same experience as I did. I believe that GREAT photography is important. You only get one chance to do this and I would hate for couples to not be able to have amazing photos to look back on from their wedding day. I also believe in investing in highly talented and experienced florists. Your bridal bouquet should be a reflection of your personality and unique style and I believe you should LOVE your wedding flowers! Our packages have a lot of the elements of a large wedding just on a smaller scale. A lot of our couples are opting for an over-the-top honeymoon and/or saving to buy a house versus an extravagant wedding.

What is the maximum number of guests you allow?
The amount of guests that are allowed vary from location to location. The maximum guests we can accommodate at any of our locations is 50. After 50 guests we no longer consider it an intimate ceremony/ elopement. Please keep in mind that a higher guest count will increase the price of our elopement packages. If you need help planning a larger wedding please contact emily@weddingsandeventsbyemily.com.
What happens after we book?
One of the best things about our all-inclusive packages is that almost everything is taken care of! We will send you a welcome packet that will have vendor referrals for any other services you may need that are not included in our package. There will be instructions on where to go to get your marriage license before the ceremony. We will also help you with recommendations on where to host your post-ceremony dinner or small reception. We will send you a detailed timeline for the ceremony portion of the day so you know when to tell transportation companies to pick you up and drop you off as well as directions for you and any guests .
Do we get to keep all of our photos?
YES! Unlike a lot of other companies in town we do not just give you 10 photos from the wedding. We only work with professional experienced wedding photographers. You will get access to an online gallery with ALL of the photos from your elopement. The photos are professionally edited and you have the right to print, share, and download all of them as you please. We can give you recommendations on places to get albums made as well. Your photographer will share sneak peeks with you within a few days following the ceremony to share the news with friends and family and the rest of the gallery will be delivered to you 3-4 weeks after the ceremony.

Can we bring our own photographer?
We only allow outside photographers under special circumstances. All of our photographers are familiar and have a lot of experience at the locations we offer. Since they know the areas so well they are able to take our couples around and get the best shots at different locations vs someone that does not know the area and is coming there for the first time. There are also rules and regulations we must abide by and required by the bureau of land management in the areas we photograph and and do ceremonies.
Can we rent a dress and a suit in Las Vegas?
Yes! In your welcome packet there will be several recommendations for suit and tuxedo rentals. Dress rentals are not as common because you will need to be here for fittings so we recommend purchasing something beforehand.
How do we get our marriage license?
This is a fairly easy process, we will send you instructions on how to obtain a marriage license in your welcome packet.
What is the best time to get married in Las Vegas?
Spring and Fall are the busiest times of year to get married in Las Vegas because the weather is so nice! These dates are more in demand and book up quickly. We have many couples choose to elope in Winter and Summer because it is not as busy. In the Winter our brides usually opt for a cute jacket or cover up to keep warm. July and August are pretty hot so please advise any guests when booking an outdoor ceremony.
How long does the ceremony take?
Our elopement ceremonies are usually between 10-15 minutes long. If you choose to share your own vows, incorporate any special prayers etc it may be longer.

Do we get to pick our photographer ?
One of our photographers will be assigned to you after booking based on date and availability!
What kind of bridal bouquet do I get?
We believe that your bridal bouquet should be uniquely YOU! Unlike most companies that only let you choose between 1 or two different kinds of bouquets or only offer a 12 rose bouquet, we want your bouquet to be a reflection of your unique style. After booking we will ask you for a few photos of bouquets that you like for inspiration and our florist will create a custom bouquet for you with your favorite flowers and colors!
Is transportation included?
Transportation is not included in our packages. We have found that our couples all have very different transportation needs so we will recommend companies to you specifically for your needs. We can refer you to companies that offer shuttle service, limos, specialty cars, party buses and more! Want to Uber or drive yourself? Great! You can do that as well! We will be sure to send you specific instructions to give the driver to all of our elopement locations and give you pick up and drop off times as well.
Can we bring chairs?
Chairs are only offered at specific locations, please inquire directly for more information. Chairs are not included in our packages and are additional. Since the ceremonies are short and simple most of our couples opt to save on chairs and have their guests stand, we promise they don't mind!
What sort of decor can we have for our ceremony backdrop?
One of the best things about the majority of our elopement locations is that nature is the ultimate backdrop! Altar and aisle decor is not included in our packages and most couples opt to keep things simple. Of course, if you want to do anything extra we are willing to send you a quote after booking. Altar decor options vary from site to site.

Can we share our own vows?
You are welcome to write and share your own vows or you can exchange traditional vows during your wedding ceremony. You will also have the choice to choose between a religious or nonreligious Ceremony. We are happy to accommodate any unique ceremony ideas or needs .
Can we have our friend officiate the wedding ?
In Clark County any family members or friends must be ordained through the county to legally perform a wedding ceremony. This can be a lengthy process and difficult to accomplish in a short period of time. A "paperwork only" service is a suitable option that our officiants can do when having a non-licensed family member perform your Las Vegas wedding ceremony, or as a convenient alternative to visiting the Las Vegas Justice of the Peace. Rush filing of your Las Vegas marriage certificate is available for a fee.
What happens if it rains?
Since most of our elopement locations are outdoors we have a rain or shine policy. Luckily in Las Vegas we don't get much rain and if we do it is during monsoon season in the Summer. Under the rare instances where rain is on the forecast we require our couples to make a decision two days before the wedding on whether or not they want to move locations. Most alternate locations will incur additional charges. We keep large clear umbrellas on hand in case there is light rain, it makes for great photos! We try to be flexible with timing on rainy days and will often "wait out" the rain until the storm passes so we can still do the outdoor ceremony.
Do you have a brochure with all of your pricing?
We only have a brochure with the locations we offer. All of our pricing is custom and is based on location site fees, guest count, and date.
Where can we see more of your work?
We encourage you to explore our website blog as well as follow us on social media @epicelopement and  @elopementlasvegas !
